Boreal’s technology efficiently extracts low abundance DNA from challenging samples such as seed, pericarp and various other plant tissues.
- Recovery of low abundance DNA even in the presence of PCR inhibitors
- Extraction of DNA from challenging samples such as seed, pericarp and various other plant tissues
Highest Yield and Purity
Isolation of DNA from plant material presents special challenges because genomic DNA often co-purifies with plant metabolites that have chemical properties similar to those of nucleic acids. Co-purified metabolites, and other chemicals in plant samples such as pesticides, can inhibit enzymatic reactions or cause variations in gel migration. The Aurora instrument extracts high quality genomic DNA from plant samples with inhibitors that are not easily removed by traditional DNA extraction methods such as CTAB.
