Boreal’s technology enables extraction of highly purified DNA from contaminated water samples ideally suited for direct use in PCR and metagenomic applications.
- Recover 10X more DNA compared to commercially available kits
- Removal of contaminants and enzymatic inhibitors regardless of species

Highest Possible Yield and Purity
Boreal’s technology simultaneously purifies and concentrates nucleic acids from contaminated water samples. Complete removal of inhibitors and delivery of highly concentrated DNA permit very sensitive PCR assays without the need for sample dilution. DNA purification is highly efficient, allowing for successful detection of the rarest sequences in your sample, essential for comprehensive metagenomic studies or detection of low abundance bacteria.
Removal of Residual Inhibitors
A combination of exceptional contaminant removal and low losses make this protocol ideal for clean-up of any sample that has already been lysed and partially, yet insufficiently, purified.
Contaminant-independent Removal
Boreal’s technology removes contaminants and enzymatic inhibitors regardless of species, offering a truly generic method for nucleic acid clean-up, unlike other technologies designed for a specific class of contaminant molecules.
