Boreal’s technology outperforms all other methods with the highest yield, purity, and molecular weight recovery of DNA from environmental samples.
- Extract high molecular weight DNA from 700 bp to 50 kb
- High yield and purity nucleic acids directly from crude extracts of up to 1 g of soil

Highest Yield and Purity
The Aurora instrument concentrates and purifies intact fragments up to 50 kb directly from soil samples without mechanical lysis or columns. A combination of exceptional removal of inhibitors, low losses, and non-mechanical purification, enables recovery of high yield and purity nucleic acids directly from crude extracts of up to 1 g of soil, and other similar environmental samples.
Highest Molecular Weight Recovery
Recovery of DNA up to 50 kb is optimized in this protocol, enabling extraction of larger intact fragments than is possible with commercial kits, and in a repeatable process that minimizes manual sample processing. The instrument is also capable of extracting molecular weight DNA up to ~1 Mb from environmental samples if larger inserts are desired for subsequent cloning.
