Concentration of Dilute DNA from Large Sample Volumes

Boreal’s technology has demonstrated exemplary performance when purifying small quantities of DNA compared to precipitation or solid phase based purification methods. Output from the instrument may be used in a variety of downstream applications including PCR, permitting the identification of low abundance targets.

  • Up to 5ml DNA sample is concentrated to 60μl without using carriers
  • High yield and purity of DNA that is immediately ready to input into cloning or PCR analysis

Concentration of DNA from large volumes with DNA Integrity, Yield and Purity

Efficient concentration of DNA is achieved with samples of DNA as dilute as 20 fg/μl. The Aurora instrument purifies and concentrates the DNA without genomic shearing, without using carriers and gives a yield of >60% of input in a volume of approximately 60μl. The SCODA technology maintains DNA integrity and maximizes recovery, this facilitates subsequent PCR analysis and even cloning of large DNA inserts for functional analysis.

Directly ready for subsequent molecular biology procedures

A combination of exceptional removal of inhibitors, low losses, and harvesting of the final product in a small volume of aqueous buffer enables Aurora purified DNA to be directly used for cloning or PCR analysis.
